The fuel tank is made so you can see the fuel level. You can buy a more higher quality fuel tank if you want to spend $100.00. I find this tank to be well worth the money. I don't have to rely on a built in fuel gage that can fail.
When the description said it had a gas gauge you could see from the top, I thought it was like other tanks with a gauge, I didnt think I would have to take the cap off and look into the tank to gage the fuel level.
